HOW DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORK?
Lasers emit a beam of light to a coin-sized group of hair follicles. Within one second the follicles will be destroyed or disabled without disturbing the surrounding skin. The skin is  simultaneously cooled by a spray, cool tip or a gel.
IPL is FDA approved to claim permanent hair reduction after a series of treatments.

What is IPL?
Intense Pulsed light is a milder form of light. It can be used for different tones of skin and hair including darker skin types safely.

WHY DO I NEED MULTIPLE TREATMENTS TO THE SAME AREA?
You will need at least three-four laser hair removal treatments. The average number of treatments per area is between 3-5. Some people need more than seven treatments to get optimal results. Hormonal variations as well as genetics from person to person affect the level of  re-growth.

WILL IT HURT?

Laser Hair Removal is not quite as painful to most as waxing or electrolysis.  There may be a slight "snap" sensation but for those more sensitive ice can be applied before hand which will minimize any discomfort.

THE BIG NO-NO's

DO NOT Tan prior to hair removal that includes spray-on tanning. No waxing or epilation other than shaving with a NEW clean razor prior to hair removal appointment. * Use of an old razor blade can result in "Contact Dermatitis" which could lead to itchy reddened bumps.

AFTER TREATMENT EXPECTATIONS

Some clients may experience some redness or swelling which should go away over the next day or so.  Avoid sun exposure and wear sun screen daily.  Hair growth will minimize after each treatment which should be 4-6 weeks apart depending upon hair growth and thickness.
